Hi All
This is our Blog for the next 6 months while we're in Europe and the UK. We hope you enjoy our version of what promises to be an interesting adventure as they usually are when Philomena is involved. She does know how to maximise any experience.
We decided to do this Blog thing (which is all a bit new) this time, so that those who are interested can follow us along and those who aren't, won't get bombarded with useless trivia.
At this stage the plan is - confirmed house sits in Switzerland in a village called Wald which is about 30 km from Zurich, Kirkwhelpington Northumbria on the Scottish / English borders 35 km north of Newcastle-on-Tyne then to Cadia a small village in Andalusia, Spain. We are also currently negotiating another sit in Wales on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, so we'll see how we go with that. There are so many premier walking trail experiences in these places alone to keep Volker amused for a while. Plenty of time has been left between these sits to get to catch up with Phil's family in Scotland and France and try to get ourselves totally lost, hopefully in places like Italy, France and the Scottish islands up north. Who knows? We don't have any set plans as yet.
We head off on Thursday 13th of March for Zurich via Dubai and from then anything can and no doubt will happen with Philomena as the tour guide. Only 5 more sleeps to go.
This blog will keep you updated as to where we are, where we're going, whether we have killed each other, etc., along with a few happy snaps.
